The Guwahati Airport Bamboo-Inspired Orchid Columns project is an innovative and culturally rich initiative aimed at enhancing the architectural and aesthetic appeal of Guwahati Airport, a crucial gateway to Northeast India.

The project draws inspiration from the native orchid flower and employs bamboo poles to create a distinctive column structure that not only symbolizes the beauty of the region but also showcases a commitment to sustainable design.

The project showcases a commitment to sustainable practices by utilizing engineered bamboo wood for the construction of the columns. Engineered bamboo, known for its strength, durability, and renewability, aligns with modern construction standards while promoting eco-friendly principles.

The project involves collaboration with local artisans and bamboo experts, fostering a connection between modern engineering and traditional craftsmanship. This collaborative effort ensures that the final design not only meets technical standards but also respects the cultural and artisanal heritage of the region.
