The towers are inspired by the swirling motion of desert winds, particularly the spiral geometry of tornadoes. This dynamic movement is translated into a vertically twisting form, where layered bamboo members wrap around a central core, creating both structure and enclosure. The porous geometry allows wind to pass through, reducing structural resistance while casting shifting shadows that change throughout the day.
Bamboo is employed as the primary construction material due to its lightweight nature, tensile strength, and renewability. Its linear quality reinforces the spiral expression of the towers while echoing traditional, resource-efficient building practices adapted to harsh environments.
